The Do’s & Don’ts when completing a DBS application form!
We all know how important it is that DBS checks are processed as quickly as possible and in order for this to happen, you must ensure that you complete your applications carefully and thoroughly. Otherwise, the Disclosure and Barring Service could return your application, resulting in the process taking longer than necessary.
We asked our experienced advisors for their top 5 Do’s and Don’ts when completing DBS application forms to ensure the whole process runs smoothly for you.
DO:
- Use black ink
- Use block capitals
- Read the questions thoroughly
- Use your full name
- Give as much information as possible
- Sign your application form!
DON’T:
- Abbreviate words
- Use Nicknames
- Use coloured ink
- Use tippex
- Write outside the boxes
These may seem simple but you would be surprised at the amount of individuals who delay their application as a result of not following these guidelines.
